I'm Brenda, the owner + candle maker behind SummerCay Candle, where each candle is crafted to spark cherished memories with every burn. SummerCay was born in January 2022 when my need for a creative outlet and my love for home fragrance came together. A year later, I quit my job and took the biggest leap of faith to go all in. It’s been both a struggle and a rewarding experience—one I am grateful for every day.

With a background in graphic design, I’ve always believed in less is more—a philosophy that guides the clean, minimalistic design of each candle, its packaging, and its ingredients. Being a wife and mom to two incredible little humans, whose middle names are Summer and Cay, inspires me to create candles that bring warmth, nostalgia, and comfort into your home, while keeping harmful toxins out.

For this reason, each SummerCay candle and product is handcrafted in small batches using natural soy wax, sustainably planted and harvested in the U.S., and thoughtfully paired with non-toxic, 100% phthalate-free fragrances—all while capturing the cozy vibes, memories, and stories of the season.
